What I learned...

What I learned in technology was that I should respect my computer well. I learned more about computers and got to do powerpoints. The powerpoints taught me more things about microsoft. I even learned about Greek mythology in one powerpoint. I learned to type faster and in the correct way. I learned things about the computer that my dad didn't even teach me, and he's a computer programer and engineer. The most fun thing we did was the career pathways. I like doing those sort of things and finding out about what pathway to choose. Of course, I chose the Arts! I also think typing is fun and I almost forgot the blog. The blog was a good way to tell people about yourself and what you like to do!

Recent stuff.

Today I'm just going to write about some things that happened to me recently. On monday I came home to find a easel that my dad got me. I was so excited because that's what I really wanted for Christmas. My dad said that he got it at a auction and all I need now is some paint, I would prefer oil paint, some brushes and some canvas. I already have a lot of ideas for paintings. Yesterday I went to the park with my dad and we walked my dog. It was a lot of fun and we watched people launch rockets. I had a lot of fun lately!

$100... All for charity!

If I had to give away $100 I would give it to people in need. I would want them to use it for things they really need like food, clothing, and some fun things too. My favorite part of giving it to them would be how happy they look. If I didn't give it to a homeless shelter I would donate it to the Rachel's Challenge Organization because I was truly inspired by them and Rachel herself. I think charity is a very good cause even in a greedy world!

My trip to Iowa

Last weekend I went to Iowa to see my Aunt and my cousins. Last Friday after the dance I went to, we packed our bags, got in the car and headed for Iowa! My Aunt lives in Newton Iowa, so it didn't take too long, it actually seemed shorter this year than it did any other year! When we were on the road we stop at some places and my grandma tells me about them and she tells stories about when she went there. She said that you know that your still in Missouri when you see salt domes. We always stop at this one gas station that has a hand dryer that blows so hard it moves your skin! I had a lot of fun!

Helping others!

I love to help others and I do it a lot. One time I help another person was when my little cousin Bodie was learning to walk and I was playing with him and taking care of him for my cousin Alison, his mom. I love to play with babies so I was playing with him and he couldn't really get around so I helped him walk and that was how he learned how to walk. I was helped one time when I couldnt roller skate good yet and I was struggling so two teenagers came over to me and told me how to skate. They even spotted me and made it easy for me by saying it was like walking, but with wheels on your feet. I was very thankful for them because now I love to skate!

Rachel's Challenge Assembly

Yesterday we had a assembly at the high school. It was about a girl called Rachel that got killed in the Columbine School shooting. The assembly was very inspiring. It talked about how Rachel wanted to change the world and spread kindess in a chain reaction. I thought that her story and her writings were very amazing and inspiring. My favorite saying of hers is " I won't be labeled as average".This is one of her journals with her sayings on it:

When the terrorist attacks of 9/11 happened I was only 2 years old. I don't remember it at all. But my Grandma told me that she remebers it and it scared her. Yesterday, at school we watched a video about it that was very heartbreaking. My friend said that she cried so much she couldnt stop until 2 whole classes after she watched the video. There were some pictures that were so sad and some videos that I have seen before still made me gasp, esspecially the video of a plane crashing into the second tower, the camera man was so close that he had to run from the debre. Thank you all for seving our country god bless you.

Technology wrap up

In this quarter, I have learned a lot of things in technology. I have learned about computer parts, ways to format pages, and how to type fast. At the beginning of the quarter, this class wasn't really complicated, but when you get into more advanced things, it can become challenging at times. I feel that this class was a very good way to get me and my classmates more in touch with technology. I think that all of the resources that Mrs. Debolt has us use are all useful in what ever we are doing. I really liked this class and enjoyed it very much.

Team Secret

I am playing for my district basketball team called the secret. We are very good and travel to a lot of places. We have a tournament next weekend in St. Louis. I hope it is really fun. I start as a shooting guard and a small forward. I cannot wait for the basketball tournament. It will be very fun. I hope that I can make a career of basketball one day because I am very good at it and would like to excell in the sport.

Lakers Nation

I am a true blooded Lakers fan. I have been since I was 4 years old. My favorite player is Kobe Bryant. He is an amazing 5 time NBA champion and a 4 time league MVP. We had a great regular season run coming into the playoffs. We beat the New Orleans Hornets in a six game series. We are now playing the Dallas Mavericks. It is not looking so good right now because we are down 2 games to none. If we have any chance of winning, my boys need to step their game up. I believe with blood, sweat, and determination, we can pull off a 4 game streak. But the performance of being good or not isn't up to you or me, it is all on the Lakers.

Text message... Epic Fail

I had been talking to this girl I have liked for a long time. I had gotten into an argument with her and I told her that I didn't think it was going to work between us. I didn't tell her how i really felt about her. She got really mad,but then we started talking and everything started falling into place and we resolved the argument. I apologized for what I had said and then everything was fine. I feel that next time i should just talk to her in person about things like that because it is much easier to make sense about what you are saying by directly talking to the other person, rather then sending a message and having the person interpret it in their own specific way.

My buddy chandler is really awesome. He is cool, smart, and funny. He is really weird sometimes, but he is a great friend. Chandler and I hang out on weekends and stuff. It is really fun playing sports with him because he is very competitive. I like to make him mad because he always makes this weird face when he is. I think it is really funny. We play lots of sports like baseball, football, waffle ball, and the best sport ever, basketball. He is fun to hang out with because he is really active. We are always playing some type of game. Even if we don't have any equipment we still play games. We make up random games too. Chandler is awesome and I really like hanging out with him.              

Weather Blog

I find out about weather by watching the weather broadcasts on t.v. Finding out about weather is very important to me because i need to know if i am able to make outdoor plans for a weekend. My outdoor plans get affected by weather when it rains outside. For example, I was going to go to 6 flags this weekend, but it rained all weekend. The last week would have been different without real time weather because people could make outdoor plans, and they would go to where their plans are, and the weather would be bad.

My name is Dylan. My life is all about basketball. I fell in love with basketball 6 months ago, and I've been playing ever since. My favorite basketball team is the Los Angeles Lakers. My favorite basketball player is Kobe Bryant. My favorite basketball coach is Phil Jackson. Basketball is a very big part of me and I play as much as I can. I need basketball and will never stop playing. I always practice and do anything i can to get better. I'm not the best, but i excel by wanting to win more then  the other person. Basketball is very important to me. It is just amazing.
