Wonderland

picture from here

There are seven identical doors in front of me, and a voice from above says, "These seven doors lead to seven places: Narnia, Neverland, Wonderland, Hogwarts, Camelot, Middle Earth, and Westeros." If I had to choose a door, I would choose to go to Wonderland. In Wonderland, it seems that a lot of your dreams would come true. It would seem that every twist and turn the mystical world gives you leads you into a whole new adventure. I would be able to have tea parties with the Mad Hatter and the rabbit. I would be able to talk to animals and objects a like. It would be quite the experience. The whole world of Wonderland is a magical place, and Alice would definitely know that. The best part about Wonderland is that you can exit and enter with ease. I could drift off to sleep, and I would instantly be in my own little world. No one would know about it but me. I guess since it's my own little world, I would have to be the hero. I would have to fight evil, and I would have to help the people that reside in my own world!

Crushes

picture from here

Ah, middle school. The time in a teenagers life where people start liking other people, and they start getting boyfriends and girlfriends. I think it's stupid to have a significant other at the young age of 13. It's quite stupid. I do have a boyfriend, but I don't do what a lot of my friends do. They say, "If he breaks up with me, MY LIFE IS OVER!" No, your life is not over. You're 13. Life goes on, and you move on with it! And when my friends say they "love" him or her, I just kind of say, "That's so sweet!" and move on. In my opinion, teenagers and even people in their 20's don't really understand what love is. I don't think they really grasp it. Yes, you do like him a lot, but you haven't shared experiences with him or her that really bond you together as one. Some people in my grade say, "We're going to be together forever!" Two weeks later, they break up! I say, "I told you so," and I move on with my life. I have a friend that wrote a life story about himself. He explains how he has had the not so greatest childhood. I can understand that. I didn't have the greatest either, but he explains how he loved a girl. He says that when hey broke up, he wanted to kill himself, and he tried multiple times. That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my entire life.

Super Powers

If I could have any super power in the world, it would be the power to control time! I would have the ability to stop, rewind, and fast forward my life. If I got a bad grade on a test, I could rewind until just before the test, so I get a good grade! And with the ability to freeze time, I could just press pause on the world and walk around. I could fast forward my life to see how a decision plans out, and if the decision was worth it. It's is amazing what people could to with the ability to control all time, but if it falls into the wrong hands, it could be extremely dangerous. That's why with every super power, comes a secret identity and your path of good and evil! I would be good, and I would help the people in my town with my super power. I don't exactly know how, but I will find a way! And my secret identity would be "The Time Controller". It would be awesome, and I would get a lot of medals for helping the people in my town! I could stop a war from happening, and I could see the future! It's just appalling what people can do with a super human ability. And it would be very interesting to see what path people would choose. Your best friend could choose the path of evil right under your nose. It's just fascinating! Isn't it?

The Length of Life

picture from here

This picture reminds of of length. Not the length of the Empire State Building or how tall you are, but the length of your life. Life is precious, and this tape measure shows just how long it could be, or how short it could be. What matters most is how you live it! Go out! Do fun things you didn't think were possible. Don't stay in your house wasting away on an old sofa expecting things to change. Why don't you go sky diving or go rock climbing. You could even go to a different country for a few weeks. It doesn't matter how long your life is if you do it RIGHT! If you're too young to do these things, plan them out. Make your life an adventure. If  I only lived to be 30, I would die happy. I would die happy because I know I lived my life to the fullest. Well, hopefully I did. I have a plan for my life. After college I'm going to go ALL around the world in search for fun things to do. I will be the happiest woman on Earth, and I won't be afraid to die. So don't worry if your tape measure isn't all that long. Just make sure you use it wisely and have fun.

Video Game Addiction

picture from here

I have...a problem. I am addicted to video games. I spend a lot of my time playing them, reading about them, watching videos on them, and ordering the video games that will come out later this year. I love them, and I base a lot of my life on them. When I find a video game I really enjoy, I spend almost 80 hours playing the game. I have played the game "Fallout 3" for more than 80 hours, and I'm still not finished with the game. I do every quest, and I try to get every achievement. It may sound like it, but I don't let video games consume my life. I still do all of my work, spend time with family and friends, read, and write. I don't play them 24/7 like people may think. They have just been a big part of my life. I grew up with them, and they continue to help me pave my future. They help me make critical decisions faster than I normally would, and they help my brain work faster and solve more problems. If all video games were to just cease to exist, I would probably go crazy. Of course I would get over it, but seeing my childhood and all the memories that came with it disappear, is no fun. That's why I love video games.

Stored Memory

picture from here

If I could bottle up a memory and open it whenever I wanted, I would bottle up the memory of my mom marrying my dad. My mother has went through a lot to find the man of her dreams, and she has put me through a lot finding him, but when she did find him, he was the best dad I could ask for. He always makes me laugh and smile, and it makes me even more happy when I see him make my mom happy. I would open this memory every time I felt sad or lonely to reassure myself that I'm not alone because I would always have my lovely mom and dad. If I was really sad, I would grab the bottle holding this memory and pull the cork out. The memory would engulf me in a vast amount of happiness. The smell of the food my grandma cooked would peak my senses, and I would automatically remember the words my mother said to my father, "I do." I would realize that even if I'm sad, I will always have a mom and a wonderful father to brighten up my day.

Stress

Since I have a lot of homework this school year, I have a lot of stuff put on my shoulders. I deal with a lot of stress on a day-to-day basis, so I have come up with ways to help. When I am really stressed about something, I take a deep breath and try to calm done. Once I am calm, I put on my head phones and listen to my favorite songs. Sometimes I even drift off to sleep, and wake up feeling refreshed and fully awake. I don't recommend always doing this. Make sure you do your work first, so you don't get a H.O.T. sheet for that missing assignment. If you like to write, I also suggest writing about your feelings or problems that you might have. Keeping a journal helps you because you can get a lot of things off your chest without telling someone. My whole life I have gotten straight A's, so my parents expect me to always get straight A's. That can also be stressful but don't worry. Do your best. That's what I do. I hope this helped you.

Technology Changes the World

picture from here

How has technology changed the world? Is it good or bad? Has this changed affected humans' lives completely? I will be answering all these questions in this blog post. Mrs. DeBolt assigned me a picture to write about. The people on the the left have no devices or pieces of technology, but the people on the right seem to be recording the event with every piece of technology known to man. The time difference is only a few years. The world has been largely impacted by the advancement of technology. However, this isn't always a good thing.
